There are no tickets
Anyone looking for Kocherlball tickets will look in vain, and that is the good news. The ball is free: no advance sales, no box office, no guest list.
You pay only for what you eat and drink. Nobody allocates the seats at the long tables; they belong to whoever gets there first. Which is why, for many people in Munich, the day of the ball begins at four, with a blanket, a candlestick and a breakfast basket.

Do I need tickets for the Kocherlball?
No. The Kocherlball is free: there are no tickets, no advance sales and no box office. If you are there, you are part of it.
Can I reserve a table?
Most seats are unreserved and belong to whoever arrives first. Some seats in the served area of the beer garden can be reserved; the beer garden announces the details in advance each year.
How early should I arrive to get a seat?
The first guests arrive at around 4 am. Come by five and you will usually still find something; by the first waltz at six it is full. Just in case: a blanket or a folding chair.
How much does the Kocherlball cost?
Entry is free. You pay only for what you eat and drink in the beer garden. In the self-service area you may bring your own food, as beer garden tradition has always allowed.
